How it works
A clear methodology, not a black box.
Every verdict on DoTheyCheat comes from the same four-step process. Here is exactly how we get from your inputs to a result, what data we use, and what we will never claim.
1. You give us the details
Name, age, gender, and the city or area to search. The more accurate the inputs, the tighter the match. Nothing is shared beyond what is needed to run the lookup.
2. We query the dating platforms
We run a structured lookup against the public-facing discovery layer of the dating apps people actually use, starting with Tinder. We do not log in as the person, hack accounts, or access private messages.
3. A human reviews the candidates
Automated matching surfaces candidate profiles. A reviewer then filters out obvious noise such as wrong age bracket, wrong gender, or clearly different person, before anything reaches you.
4. You get an honest verdict
Results are framed as Exact Match, Similar Profile, or Not Found. We tell you why we classified it that way, and how confident we are. We never dress up a weak signal as proof.
Where our data comes from
We only use public-facing data from the dating platforms themselves. No leaks, no scraped breaches, no third-party data brokers.
Tinder
Primary source today. We query the public discovery layer using the inputs you provide and only return profiles consistent with them.
Bumble, Hinge, Match (coming soon)
Expanding coverage. We add a platform only when we can do so reliably and within each platform's public-facing surface.
Public profile data only
We use the same kind of information any user of the app could see while browsing. No private messages, no account access, no third-party data brokers.
How we classify a result
Three possible verdicts. We tell you which one and why.
A profile whose name, age, gender and location align tightly with the inputs, with photos a reviewer believes show the same person. High confidence.
A profile that matches some criteria but not all, or whose photos are ambiguous. Worth knowing about, not proof on its own.
No profile on the searched platforms matched the inputs at the time of the search. Absence of evidence, not evidence of absence.
Privacy by design
The person you search for is never contacted
No notification, no message, no trace. Your search stays between you and us.
Your data is not for sale
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. It is used only to run your search and deliver your result.
What we will never claim
Honesty over hype. These are the real limits of any search like this.
- We can only see profiles that exist and are active at the moment we search. Hidden, paused or deleted accounts will not appear.
- Dating apps are not the only place people cheat. A Not Found result rules out the platforms we checked, nothing more.
- Photos can be old, recycled, or shared between people. A reviewer's judgement on photo identity is informed, not infallible.
- We are independent and not affiliated with Tinder, Bumble, Hinge or Match Group.
