Privacy Policy

DoTheyCheat LLC, ("DoTheyCheat", "we", "us") provides a discreet lookup tool that checks whether a person appears to be active on major dating apps. We built this product around a simple principle: collect as little as possible, keep it for as short as possible, and never sell any of it. This page explains, in plain language, what that means in practice.
What we collect
When you run a search, we receive the first name, approximate age and city you enter, along with your email if you choose to create an account or receive a report. We also log standard technical information like IP address, browser type and timestamps for security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect government IDs, social security numbers, full background-check data, phone contacts, photos from your device, or location data beyond the city you type into the search form.
What we do with it
Search inputs are used to query public-facing dating app surfaces and return a single report to you. Your email, if provided, is used to deliver that report, to let you log back in, and to send service messages such as receipts. We do not send marketing email without your explicit consent, and any consent can be withdrawn at any time from the footer of those emails.
What the person being searched sees
Nothing. Running a search does not create a profile, does not send a match request, and does not notify the person you searched. The lookup is one-directional and discreet by design.
How long we keep data
Individual search inputs and the resulting reports are retained for up to 30 days so you can revisit them from your account, and are then deleted. Account data (email, login history) is kept while your account is active. You can request full deletion at any time and we will action it within 30 days.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the limited set of service providers needed to operate the product: our hosting and database provider, our email provider and our payment processor. These vendors are bound by data processing agreements and may only use the data to deliver their service to us. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to object to certain uses and, in some regions, to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email contact@dotheycheat.com.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Optional analytics, when enabled, are aggregated and do not identify individual users.
Children
DoTheyCheat is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
